Aryaman is one of the Adityas, invoked in the Vedic hymns as the patron of hospitality, custom, and honorable dealings between people. He presides over marriage alliances and the bonds that join households, and his name is spoken in wedding rites. He stands for courtesy, patronage, and kept agreements.

Presides over Uttara Phalguni .

Some sources swap Aryaman and Bhaga between the two Phalguni nakshatras; the attribution of Aryaman to Uttara Phalguni followed here is the more common one.
