Prajapati

lord of creatures, the creator

TraditionVedic

The one from whom all growing things take their increase.

Prajapati, lord of creatures, is the creator figure of the later Vedic hymns and the Brahmanas, the source from whom beings and abundance proceed. In later tradition he is largely identified with Brahma, the creator among the great gods. His mansion is associated with fertility, growth, and the ripening of what has been sown.
