The Vishvedevas are the all-gods, the deities invoked together as a complete assembly so that none is omitted from the offering. Whole hymns of the Rigveda address them collectively, and they receive a share in many rites. They stand for universality, completeness, and victory that rests on every power aligned.

A collective attribution; some later lists also enumerate ten specific Vishvedevas as a distinct group.
