Vayu

god of wind and breath

TraditionVedic

The unseen mover, everywhere at once and held by nothing.

Vayu is the wind, among the first deities to receive the soma offering in Vedic rite, and the breath of life that moves through all creatures. He is swift, pervading, and impossible to confine. He carries the qualities of independence, movement, and the restless intelligence of air.
