The mortal of the two Dioscuri, the tamer of horses, set beside his immortal brother Pollux. Robson gives it the nature of Mercury: a keen intellect, distinction and sudden fame, but shadowed by loss, trouble and affliction when the honor overreaches. A brilliant multiple star to the eye. With Pollux it makes the seventh Arabic mansion Al Dhira, the forepaw, and the Vedic asterism Punarvasu, the two that restore what was lost.
