The Fixed Stars

Shimu

Zeta Andromedae

Unnamed, known by its Bayer letter.

A faint waypoint tracing the figure of Andromeda.

Zeta Andromedae is one of the fainter stars walked over in drawing the figure. Little traditional lore attaches to it; it is here for the line, not for a delineation.

IAU name Shimu confirmed on 2026-10-21 against two independent lists, exopla.net and Wikipedia; the IAU bulletin itself was not fetched.
