Unnamed, known by its Bayer letter. It stands at about 16° Gemini (tropical).

A star of the lower shield, bound to its neighbours in one great cloud.

Pi5 Orionis lies in the lower portion of the curved hide held up against the Bull, a hot blue-white star belonging with several of its neighbours to a single loose grouping born together. Little traditional lore attaches to this star.
