Secunda Hyadum
Delta Tauri, Hyadum II, the second of the Hyades
The second of the Hyades, following Gamma in the rainy cluster. It stands at about 7° Gemini (tropical).
The second of the Hyades, a wet star in the face of the Bull.
Delta Tauri lies within the Hyades cluster on the Bull's face, the second of the rainy sisters after Gamma. Like its neighbors it shares the character Ptolemy assigned to the group, the nature of Saturn and Mercury, a stormy and tearful reputation tied to the season of their setting. It carries no delineation apart from the cluster.
♂︎ Nature. Saturn and Mercury.
⚖︎ Workings. counsel against rashness in stormy seasons
A Hyades member; its Saturn-Mercury nature and rainy reputation are the cluster's, not the star's alone.
