'the butting one,' the goring horn. It stands at about 23° Gemini (tropical).

The goring horn-tip, shared between the Bull and the Charioteer.

This bright star is shared between two figures: it is the tip of the northern horn of Taurus the Bull, Beta Tauri, and was once counted as Gamma Aurigae, closing the Charioteer's outline. Its name El Nath means 'the butting one,' the goring horn. Robson treats it chiefly under Taurus.

Shared with Taurus as Beta Tauri, the northern horn-tip; keyed here as elnath-aurigae to avoid colliding with a Taurus entry.
