Epsilon2 Lyrae

Epsilon-2 Lyrae, part of the Double Double

Unnamed, known by its Bayer letter. It stands at about 16° Capricorn (tropical).

One half of the famous Double Double beside Vega.

Epsilon Lyrae stands just northeast of Vega and is celebrated as the Double Double: a wide pair split by the naked eye, each component of which a telescope resolves again into two. Epsilon-2 is the southern star of the wide pair. It carries no old name but is one of the most-shown sights of the small harp. It lies within Abhijit, the nakshatra centered on Vega.
