Unnamed, known by its Bayer letter. It stands at about 21° Gemini (tropical).

A dim star set apart above the shield, toward the Hunter's head.

Omicron2 Orionis lies in the northern reaches of the figure, above the arc of the shield and near the way to the head, an orange giant faint enough to be easily overlooked. Little traditional lore attaches to this star.
