Homam
Zeta Pegasi, Sa'd al-Humam, Homan
From the Arabic sa'd al-humam, the lucky star of the high-minded man, or of the hero. It stands at about 3° Aries (tropical).
The fortunate star of the high-minded man, set on the horse's neck.
Homam is Zeta Pegasi, a white star along the neck of the horse, and its name comes from the Arabic sa'd al-humam, read as the lucky star of the hero or of the high-minded, magnanimous man. It belongs to the family of 'sa'd' fortune-names gathered in this part of the sky, its meaning pointing to nobility of spirit and good fortune won by greatness of heart. The tradition gives it its name-meaning but little in the way of formal planetary delineation.
One of the Arabic 'sa'd' lucky-star names; the name reads as the fortunate star of the hero or high-minded man. Little planetary lore attached.
