Xi Tauri

Unnamed, known by its Bayer letter. It stands at about 5° Gemini (tropical).

A star at the base of the Bull's neck, west of the face.

Xi Tauri sits toward the front of the figure, near the base of the neck and the shoulder, west of the Hyades. It is a multiple system of hot blue-white stars bound close together and blurred by distance into a single point of modest brightness. Little traditional lore attaches to this star.
