Delta Geminorum

The middle, from the Arabic al-wasat. It stands at about 18° Cancer (tropical).

The middle of the twins, near the heart of the figure.

Delta Geminorum, Al Wasat, the middle, for it lies near the center of the figure, about the waist of the twins. Robson gives it the nature of Saturn and a dark note, tying it to violence and to chemicals and poisons. It is a close double lying almost on the ecliptic, so the Moon and planets pass near it.
