Unnamed in the old Western books; Larawag is a modern adoption from Wardaman star knowledge, the clear sighting. It stands at about 16° Sagittarius (tropical).

Epsilon marks the curve where the Scorpion's body sweeps down into the tail, the hook of the Fishhook figure. Its modern name comes from the Wardaman people of Australia, whose star knowledge the astronomical community formally adopted for it. As a tail star it falls among the root stars of the nakshatra Mula, but it carries no individual delineation in the Western handbooks, and little traditional lore attaches to it alone.

Counted under Mula as one of the tail stars; the nakshatra's chief star is Shaula. Little individual lore attaches.
